Since JonDeTech received Working Samples of the JIRS30 nanosensor element on November 11, 2022, all focus has been on the next step in development, Engineering Samples. Achieving this requires repeatability in the final production process for high-volume manufacturing with a locked base recipe. Now, the company has received delivery of sensor elements with ES potential, enabling shipment of sensor elements to customer.
The delivery from Varioprint included six sheets in full-scale A3 format; all finished in the final production process. From now on, Varioprint will regularly deliver new panels. This is an important step in the ongoing process toward reaching Engineering Samples and the ultimate goal of producing commercial sensors. Measurements and analyses will now be conducted to improve the processes and identify the number of functional sensor elements. As already completed tests show a positive volume outcome of functional sensors, JonDeTech can ship smaller volumes for testing and evaluation in ongoing customer dialogues. With improved yield, Engineering Samples will soon be achieved, and volumes will gradually increase over time.
– With the positive outcomes in the full-scale runs, the probability of having completed Engineering Samples soon has dramatically increased,” says Leif Borg, COO of JonDeTech.
About JonDeTech
JonDeTech is a supplier of sensor technology. The company markets a portfolio of IR sensor elements based on proprietary nanotechnology and silicon MEMS. The nanoelements are extremely thin, built-in flexible plastic, and can be manufactured in high volumes at a low cost, which opens up for a variety of applications, such as temperature and heat flow measurements, presence detection, and gas detection. The company is listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market. Redeye is the company’s Certified Adviser.
