JonDeTech Sensors AB (publ) (“JonDeTech” or the “Company”) today announces an update regarding product development with JonDeTech’s sensors and the Company’s efforts to strengthen its commercial position through patents. The Company has made several advancements in 2024, including the development of body temperature measurement in wireless earbuds and presence detection in digital door locks and other battery-powered systems.
Integration of JIRS30 in earbuds
In 2024, JonDeTech has continued the development of JIRS30 to enable body temperature measurement and presence detection in wireless earbuds. The solution includes both the hardware and the algorithm required to ensure stable and reliable body temperature measurement.
JIRS40
In 2024, the Company further developed the analog sensor product JIRS40. The software and patented algorithms for presence detection have been optimized for use in digital door locks and other systems that require presence detection at distances of up to two meters. JonDeTech has seen increased interest from potential customers through the new distribution network established during 2024. The company sees particular interest in energy-efficient sensors that can activate battery-powered systems, such as fingerprint readers or facial recognition, when a person is within the sensor’s range.
JPS20
JonDeTech has also launched the presence detection sensor JPS20, optimized for short distances of up to 20 cm. This product has been developed in response to customer and distributor demand for a simpler and more cost-effective solution for presence detection in applications with lower requirements. JPS20 complements JIRS40 and thereby expands JonDeTech’s product portfolio.
Granted patents and filed patent applications
JonDeTech’s patent applications for the Company’s presence detection algorithm, “Method and System for Detecting Presence of a Person,” have been approved in both the USA and China. This strengthens the value for JonDeTech and the Company’s partners, who now have access to a patented and reliable solution for presence detection using IR sensors. Additionally, the Company has filed a patent application for its system for measuring body temperature through heat flow from the ears.
CEO Comment
“The progress we are making in product development and patents is crucial for JonDeTech’s long-term success. We look forward to continuing to integrate our sensors into more products where body temperature measurement and presence detection can make products better, more energy-efficient, and safer,” says Leif Borg, CEO of JonDeTech.
