JonDeTech Sensors AB (“JonDeTech” or the “Company”) is today launching the evaluation kit EVK-J20CL for the Company’s new proximity sensor JPS20 for contactless presence detection.
The Company’s latest addition to its product portfolio is the proximity sensor JPS20, which detects presence using infrared radiation and has a range of approximately 20 centimeters.
The product is designed for integration into smaller electronic devices where it can enhance performance and reduce power consumption, for example, by activating power-saving mode when the devices are not in use. The launch of the evaluation kit for JPS20 is an important step in JonDeTech’s strategy to broaden its product offering and complements the Company’s JIRS40 sensor, which offers more features and a longer range for contactless presence detection.
With the EVK-J20CL evaluation kit, the Company’s distributors and customers can evaluate and develop applications using the JPS20 proximity sensor.
“Our evaluation kits lower the barriers for having our sensor products tested by various manufacturers and distributors in different applications globally. JPS20 complements our sensor portfolio for smaller, simpler products produced in large volumes. We see that the market is demanding and setting higher standards for improved energy efficiency and safety in smaller electronic devices, which JPS20 can contribute to,” says JonDeTech’s CEO, Leif Borg.
