JonDeTech signs project agreement with a Taiwanese component manufacturer regarding optimization of IR sensors

JonDeTech has for some time been in a dialogue with a Taiwanese component manufacturer to develop a customized sensor that, together with algorithms for contactless temperature measurement and presence detection, will be included in a consumer product. As a first step, JonDeTech has received an order for a service project to be delivered during the second quarter of 2022. The project is the first within the new customer offering based on an IR sensor in silicon (JIRS10) combined with proprietary sensor software and know-how.

The project means that JonDeTech provides engineering services to help the component manufacturer to:

  • Develop application software,
  • optimize its production,
  • and increase the precision of the end product.

The agreement is strategically important for JonDeTech as it creates better conditions for participation in the continued development work of a customized sensor.

– This agreement confirms that our knowledge in sensor software and algorithms is in demand by global players. Even if the agreement is not significant from a short-term economic perspective it proves our broadening of our business towards software and externa sensors, which was communicated in February 2022, already is being commercialized, says Dean Tosic, CEO JonDeTech.
